Knives and Pneumonia

So, today in my English class we learned about the English language. Go figure... Well, my teacher was talking about the different words that have really random letters in them that don't make any sense(i.e. knife). Apparently, the reason we have those random letters is because of the French/Saxons. They thought that the way that some English words were spelled was extremely ugly, so they decided that they needed to add some letters to them to make them more beautiful...... So, the next time that you fail a spelling test because of the word pneumonia you can blame the French/Saxon people. It's all their fault anyway.

whine. Whine! WHINE!!!!!!!!

Grr.... Today in web design, I still didn't have my own personal log in thing. So, I had to miss twenty minutes of class and go to the computer lab to find out what was wrong.... It took two teachers twenty minutes to find out that they hadn't set up a user for me (even though they knew that I was in a class that requires me to use computers) and then set up a user for me.... It was so annoying! I missed part of class, and quite possibly an assignment..... Not very happy about that....

Well, that is all I needed to say.....

TTFN!

Annoyance

I have decided (already) that my web design class is kinda.... Below my learning level.... So far, we have learned how to create a blog and an email address.... Both of which I already had....

The most annoying part is that my teacher had me create a new email for just my blog..... Then she had me create an email for the class.... All within a couple days of each other.... So, I have had to create two new emails just for this one class.... Yeah.... So, I am slightly annoyed....

Well, that is all I need to vent about.... For now....

Official Public Schooler....

Yes, it's official. I have joined the land of the scary teenagers. I am now going to public school for three classes. I am taking AP Lit, Theatre 3, and Web Design....

This will definitely be a good opportunity, but it will also be very scary. Especially AP Lit. My teacher is very, very anti-religion, he equates all religion as equal to the Greek and Roman Mythology.... It's definitely extremely hard to keep my mouth shut when he bad-mouths God, but... Urg.... Public School.... What a pain in the neck it is......

Keeping up my testimony is going to be my main goal this coming year. So, if any of you see me doing or saying something I shouldn't, please tell me.

Yeah.... I pray that I can affect this school in a positive way this year. And further God's kingdom....

Well, I've had enough being random for one day...
Peace out my friends!

Love in Christ,

Update

Well, Middle School camp was amazing. I could definitely see God moving in everything at camp. It was also kind of strange for me, being a counselor for the first time. Just the different things that counselors have to do and whatnot. And two of my girls got saved that week :D...

The week after Middle School Camp, my youth group had a missions team from Virginia come out to do evangelism type stuff at our church. They were definitely an interesting group of people. Some of them were quite possibly weirder than me... So, we did some car washing and hung some flyers up to advertise for our upcoming VBS. Which brings me to...

VBS was the week after the Virginia group came out. We had people from Oklahoma come out to help us. That was awesome.... I believe that we had about 120 kids that week. I'm not sure how many got saved though.... But it was a lot of fun. I got to help teach the kids all of the VBS songs. My favorite was the Tumbleweed song. Basically amazing :D...

The day after VBS was over we went to.... *Drum roll* Sonfest! It too, was amazing. I believe about 30ish kids came to know the Lord. AMAZING! I got to witness to about ten people. That was really cool. Another really cool thing was that our entire group hung out together basically the whole day at the amusement park. We only had like 6 kids, but it was still awesome :D...

And I will save the next exciting thing for my next post....

Consider yourselves updated.

Oh Camp, How I Love Thee!

So, for the past 2 weeks I have been at camp, which, by the way, is my most favoritest place in the entire world.

The first week was Leadership Camp. This was my first time at leadership camp, so the only thing I really expected was lots of hard word and blisters. Not only did Leadership Camp meet my expectations, it exceeded them in ways I never could have imagined. I got to know EVERYONE at camp. Within the first day or two I knew everyone by their first name, and, quite frankly, I loved every single person there.

The first day I saw a couple people there who I, in my stupid headedness, did not think really should have been there. I didn't really know them, and what I did know of them, in my opinion, was not very good. I couldn't believe that their pastors would send them to Leadership Camp! So, I looked at them through biased eyes. But, in the first day or two, they totally slapped me in the face with their actions.

Especially one person in particular. The first morning I was complaining to my friend, saying that I didn't think it was wisdom for that person to be in a leadership position. Then that afternoon, I was pulling something really heavy out of the shed at camp, and I almost dropped it. Then that person walked in and helped me get it down. And he did it without really having to think about it. Just like helping someone like me was a no-brainer. It was kinda like God was slapping me in the face, saying, "Don't judge this person based on what little bit you knew about them a year ago. I can do so much with a person in that amount of time." And you know what? I listened to God. I tried to keep that mind set with every person I encountered that week, and boy did they all surprise me.

Well, that was leadership camp. Now to move on to Teen Camp.

The first day, before heading up to camp, My family and some close friends of ours stopped at Discovery park! We ate food, and played hide and seek. Amazing, I know.
Then we actually drove up to camp and got stuck in traffic, aka we got stuck behind the massive herd of sheep in the middle of the road.

When we finally reached camp, the sign in person wasn't there. So, we unloaded luggage from our truck. Well, my dad unloaded, and he put my luggage with all the guys' luggage. Ha ha! That was quite interesting....

Well, as usual, camp was the most amazing thing ever!

I was put in, well I chose to be in, the craziest, loudest, most amazing cabin ever! I believe we were the loudest cabin at camp. I was one of the calmest people in the cabin! And for those of you who know me, you know that's a scary thought.

The teaching was amazing. John Miles is an awesome teacher. He said something I needed to hear in every single lesson. There are just too many things to name.

Thursday I did a skit with some of the people who went to Leadership Camp (The one I complained about the first day of Leadership Camp included. I swear, God was really telling me that I needed to not judge people, because they kept on surprising me). It was amazing! One of the most moving skits I have ever been involved in....

The whole week was completely full of love. I swear everyone loved everyone. People (including some of the guys) were yelling to their friends across camp, "I love you!" It was totally amazing! The whole experience was completely inexplicable! And the shock of coming off the mountain was incredible too. It seems that people don't express their love for each other enough. Which is something that I have decided we need to change.

Well, the last day was hard. I had to say goodbye to all of my old and new friends. But I am so thankful that we have a tool like Facebook. Now, I can keep in touch with so many of my awesome friends!

I think I have covered most of the highlights.
